Urban Garden Substrate Pack 50 - 80 Litres Planeta Huerto
The perfect combination of substrate for tables between 50 and 80 Litres.
Our Californian earthworm humus is an organic and natural fertiliser, rich in nutrients that combined with dehydrated coconut fibre, which gives a lot of volume with little weight to the mixture, guarantees good aeration, excellent water retention, neutral pH and a high capacity to store nutrients.
The ideal ratio for a balanced mix is 60% coco fibre and 40% earthworm humus.
Coco Fibre Substrate Planeta Huerto: The compacted coconut fibre Planeta Huerto, is composed of compacted coconut fibre, designed for the perfect growth of the plant.
It has a good water absorption and retention capacity, as well as a better sponginess and aeration, allowing an optimal development of the small and delicate roots that the plants have.
Planta Huerto worm humus: Worm humus is an organic amendment created through the work of the Californian red earthworm. This product is completely natural, safe and has a dark colour and a damp earthy aroma. It originates from selected manures and plant remains.
It provides all the essential nutrients that plants need for proper and balanced development, reducing dependence on fertilisers in crops. In addition, it stands out for its high organic matter content.
Composition of the set:
- 1 x Coconut fibre substrate (70 L)
- 1 x Coconut fibre substrate (70 L)
- 3 x Humus (70 L)
- 3 x Earthworm humus (12 L)
How to use:
- In a container with sufficient capacity for the final volume of fibre, place a block of Planeta Huerto Coco Fibre Substrate and add the quantity of water indicated in the instructions to compact it.
- Wait for it to increase in volume and mix to make sure that everything is hydrated.
- Mix the coco fibre with the worm castings. You can do this directly on the growing table or urban garden with the help of a tool.
- You can also add the coconut fibre to the worm castings.
- You can also add perlite or vermiculite if you want to improve aeration and water and nutrient retention (not included) .
- If you have leftover mix, don't worry. You can save it and use it to refill your urban garden. This is normal as, after planting and the first few waterings, the substrate in the growing tables and urban gardens can become compacted.
- If you have any leftover mix, don't worry!
