What is Buckwheat?

Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is a pseudocereal also called buckwheat. Its origin is in Central Asia.

Like other pseudocereals such as quinoa or amaranth, buckwheat contains a high quality protein as it contains all the essential amino acids without being deficient in lysine or methionine.
