Nephrolepis exaltata or Boston fern

DESCRIPTION

. Nephrolepis in Greek means kidney-shaped scales and refers to the sheath covering the sporangia. This genus includes about 30 species of ferns, some terrestrial and others epiphytic, from tropical and subtropical regions, including Japan and New Zealand. The fronds of the curly fern are long, lanceolate and arched, in many cases drooping elegantly to the ground. On the underside it has rounded fronds covered with a kidney-shaped sheath.
