DESCRIPTION

. Indoor palm tree that decorates any room where it is placed. It is dark green in colour and flowers annually in the last quarter of the year. Its leaves are large and elegant, thin and arched, without having too many of them. It has the quality that as soon as a new leaf sprouts, the older one tends to dry up. This plant is ideal for large spaces, given the size of its leaves and so that it does not lose its shape due to rubbing against other plants or objects. Scientific name: Howea forsteriana

. Curiosities: Its scientific name "Howea fosteriana" refers to its place of origin, the island of "Lord Howe" in Australia.

CAREFUL

. Temperature: In the range of 22ºC to 24ºC. It does not tolerate draughts

. Light: It needs to be placed in a well-lit place, but never in direct sunlight. Watering: Moderate and without water stagnation, as it does not tolerate waterlogging. Water frequently in summer, and moderate watering in winter.

Watering: Moderate and not stagnant. Fertilizer: Use specific fertilizers for green plants from spring to autumn. Transplanting: In spring or early summer every two years or when its size exceeds that of the pot. A light, well-drained substrate is recommended.
