What is crystallised ginger?

Crystallised ginger consists of pieces of ginger that have been slowly boiled for a few minutes in a syrup. The resulting pieces of ginger resemble sugar-coated jelly beans. They are soft, pleasant to the touch and can be eaten as is, as if they were a sweet, retaining all the characteristic ginger flavour but without the spiciness of fresh ginger.

Recommended use

Food, as a snack or cooking ingredient. Store in a cool, dry and odourless place, away from sunlight. Ideal temperature between 10-12°C and humidity below 65%.
