Ficus elastica Robusta or Rubber Tree

DESCRIPTION

The Rubber Tree is a plant of Indian and Indonesian origin. Its main characteristic are its large dark green leaves, and the young leaves, which are born red in the shape of a cone until they open. It is a very useful plant for filtering and cleaning the air in the home.

. Curiosities: Its sap was used to produce natural latex.

CAREFUL

. Temperature: The range is between 13-24ºC temperature. It does not tolerate the cold. Light: It needs to be located in a place with good lighting, but never in direct sunlight. Watering:Moderate and without water stagnation. Twice a week in summer and every 10 days in winter. Fertiliser: Use specific fertilisers for green plants once a month from spring to autumn.
