Valerian (Valeriana officinalis) is a plant traditionally used for its relaxing and calming effects. The part used to extract the active compounds, notably essential oils, is the root. One of the main constituents of this essential oil is valerenic acid, which is credited with a significant part of valerian's relaxing effects. Valerian is useful for alleviating nervousness, calming anxiety, improving concentration and mood, and reducing stress. It also improves the ability to fall asleep and can aid difficult digestion. Directions for use:

Take 1 capsule every 12 hours. If you have difficulty sleeping, take 2 capsules before bedtime.
